The story of our company began in 1972 with the production of car bumpers for the FIAT group. Over the course of the years, the Losappio family decided to expand and modify its expertise in the mechanical sector, completely transforming production to create footwear components.
Over the course of several years, the sons took over the reins of the Company, step by step gaining a large market share by supplying their products to the largest footwear companies. This allowed them to take over their biggest French-German competitor, Esjot Goldenberg sarl, leader in the field in 2011, becoming the company it is today.
Despite the difficulties along the way, and building on the experience acquired over the years, the company transformed itself again in 2020 creating BTL steel srl, one of Europe's most important steel mills. A company that continues on its course for innovation and transformation, diversifying production, not only making sheets and toe caps for safety footwear, but also steel for its own needs and that of others.
